Richard5 Whitney (Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Richard and Hannah (Whitcomb) Whitney, was born 31 Jul 1725, Stow, MA,[1] and died 4 May 1798, Harvard, MA, in his 73rd year.[2]
Marriage intentions were published Oct 1747, Harvard, MA, for him and Mary Perry "of Sudbury". He "of Harvard" married, 10 Dec 1747, Sudbury, MA, Mary Perry, daughter of Ebenezer and Mercy (Brigham) Perry. She was born 17 Jan 1722[/3], Sudbury, MA, and died 18 Feb 1804, Harvard, MA, aged 81 years 1 month.
Pierce says the following:[3]
- Sept. 2, 1746, Richard WHITNEY of Stow and wife Hannah in consideration of the love and affection conveyed to son Richard deed land in Harvard (Vol. 26, p. 75, Worcester Co. Conveyances). Richard, yeoman, of Harvard, died in 1798. H e made bequests to all except Hannah, who had probably died before that time. James WHITNEY was executor.
