Jared Irving8 Whitney (Benjamin7, Benjamin6, Jonas5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), born Aug 1, 1833; married 19 Jan 1858, Sarah Jane Kidder; born 10 May 1834.
He was brought up on a farm and worked at that until he was 21. Then in company with his brother-in-law was in the chair business for a number of years, and later worked at the wood-working business, and most of the time since; resided Leominster, Massachusetts, and Clinton, Massachusetts, 269 Main St.

i. Fannie Belle9 Whitney, born 16 Oct 1863; married 19 Jan 1888, Edward L. Flagg; resided Leo. ; is a carpenter. - Ch.: Mable Frances, born 27 Mar 1889.
