My name is Charlotte Gibb. I live in Lafayette, CA with my husband and two teenage sons. A graphic artist by trade, I also help out at my husband's software company, run a small concert series in my community, and pursue my interest in music. Genealogy is a rather recent interest -- I've been at it about a year now. It has been especially challenging for me because I've gotten such a late start at it, and consequently, all of the generations before me are gone now, and it's hard to verify some of my findings. My name is Charlotte Gibb. I live in Lafayette, CA with my husband and two teenage sons. A graphic artist by trade, I also help out at my husband's software company, run a small concert series in my community, and pursue my interest in music. Genealogy is a rather recent interest -- I've been at it about a year now. It has been especially challenging for me because I've gotten such a late start at it, and consequently, all of the generations before me are gone now, and it's hard to verify some of my findings. But I'm blessed to be from a large family (the youngest of nine children) so that I've been able to query my sibs about their own memories and stories from our parents, aunts and uncles.
My paternal grandmother was a Whitney, so my research on that line lead me to the Whitney Research Group. I'm a newby, but I'm starting to get the hang of using the site, though I'm still not so bold to post just yet. This is my first insertion.
I welcome any suggestions and advice from those of you who have more experience, and I look forward to another year of digging deeper into my roots.
