Dea. Abel7 Whitney (Peter6, Aaron5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Peter6 and Julia (Lambert) Whitney, was born 3 Nov 1781, Northborough, MA,[1] and died 22 Feb 1853, Cambridge, MA.

Marriage intentions were published 19 Nov 1809, Cambridge, MA, for him and Susanna White "of Brookline".[2] He "of Cambridge" married, 21 Dec 1809, Brookline, MA, Susanna White "of Brookline",[3] daughter of Benjamin and Thankful (White) White. She was born 7 Jul 1786,[4] and died 14 Dec 1867.

He was a cabinet maker by trade, which he followed in Cambridge, MA. Was highly honored and respected. Was chairman of the selectmen in 1838 and 1839. Was deacon of the First Church, Unitarian, of Cambridge from 18 until his death in 1853. He resided Cambridge, MA.

iii. Benjamin White Whitney, b. 9 Aug 1815;[8] m. and d. 19 Dec 1879. He was a lawyer and graduated from Harvard College, 1838.
iv. Susan Elizabeth Whitney, b. 20 Feb 1817;[9] m. 31 Jan 1856, James Brackett; resided s.p. Cambridge, MA.
v. Abigail White Whitney, b. 10 Apr 1827;[10] m. Moses G. Howe; resided Cambridge, MA, s.p.
