George H. G.9 Whitney (George8, Peter7, Peter6, Aaron5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of George8 and Anne Greenough (Gray) Whitney; born Jamaica Plains, Massachusetts, 22 May 1835; married 15 Jun 1870, in Brooklyn, New York, Lucinda Chapman Collins. He was a shipping merchant. He died 9 Jan 1890; resided Brooklyn, New York.

i. Channing Gray10 Whitney, born 23 Feb 1874. He is a clerk in auditor's office of the New York & N. E. R. R., and resided at 19 East River St. Hyde Park, Massachusetts; unmarried
