George Harrison Gray⁹ Whitney (George⁸, Peter⁷, Peter⁶, Aaron⁵, Moses⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of George⁸ and Anne Greenough (Gray) Whitney, was born 22 May 1835, Jamaica Plains, MA, was baptized 12 Jul 1835, Roxbury, MA,^[1] and died 9 Jan 1890, Brooklyn, NY.

He married, 15 Jun 1870, Brooklyn, NY, Lucinda Chapman Collins.

He was a shipping merchant. He resided Brooklyn, NY.

i.	Channing Gray10 Whitney, b. 23 Feb 1874. He is a clerk in auditor's office of the New York & N. E. R. R., and resided at 19 East River St. Hyde Park, MA; unmarried
