Manning7 Whitney (Daniel6, Daniel5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Daniel6 and Sarah (Durant) Whitney, was born 8 Sep 1795, Stow, MA,[1] and died 1841, AL.

He married, 1818, Dolly Brooks, daughter of Luke and Suza (Smith) Whitney. She was born 18 Nov 1795, Stow, MA.

"MANNING WHITNEY came to this town from Stowe, Mass, in 1818, locating on road 22. He married Dolly Brooks, in 1818, and reared a family of six children, namely, Emeline, Daniel, Henry B., Lydia, Jane and Sally H. He died in Alabama in 1841. Henry B. and Daniel still live in the town."[2]
