Ephraim7 Whitney (Silas6, Daniel5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Silas6 and Patience (Goodnow) Whitney, was born 29 Feb 1787 [sic], Stow, MA,[1], was baptized 11 Mar 1787, Stow, MA,[2] and "Capt." died 23 Apr 1821, St. Barts, West Indies.

He married, 19 May 1808, Boston, MA, Eunice Hayden,[3] daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Vinton) Hayden. She was born 17 Sep 1787, Braintree, MA.

Probably she was the Mrs. Eunice Whitney "of Cambridge" who married, (int. 17 Aug 1826, Ashburnham, MA) 5 Sep 1826, Cambridge, MA, John Woods "of Ashburnham",[4] as his second wife. That woman died 8 Nov 1827, Ashburnham, MA, aged 40 years, which tallies with Eunice Hayden's birth date.

He was a large contractor in Boston, MA, where he resided.
