Sergt. Ebenezer6 Whitney (Ebenezer5, Ezekiel4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, John1), son of Ebenezer5 and ----- (-----) Whitney, born 1759, Worcester, MA, and died 17 Jun 1836, Worcester, MA, aged 76 years.[1]

He married, about 1781, Worcester, MA, Martha Gates, daughter of John and Violetta (Rice) Gates. She was born 30 Apr 1759, Worcester, MA, and died 18 Sep 1847, Worcester, MA, aged 87 years, of old age.[2]

He was in the Revolutionary war for six and one-half years, first serving in a Worcester company. He resided Worcester, MA.
