Henry O.8 Whitney (Hollis B.7, Isaac 6, Isaac5, Lemuel4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Hollis B.7 and Elsina A. (Towle) Whitney, was born 12 Nov 1845, Canaan, NH, and died 13 Dec 1910, Canaan, NH.[1]

He married firstly, 8 Jul 1871, Alton, NH, Susan E. Ames,[2] daughter of Thompson and Naomi (Flanders) Ames.[3] She was born 20 Sep 1846, Gilford, NH, and died 15 Aug 1888, Canaan, NH.[4] Apparently they were divorced.

He married secondly, about 1882, Ellen M. (Butman) Whitney, daughter of Frank and Susan Taylor (Colby) Butman. She was born 25 Nov 1849, Canaan, NH, and died 24 May 1914, Enfield, NH. They were divorced, although both were listed as "widowed" in the 1900 census. She had married firstly, 26 Nov 1868, Canaan, NH, James Monroe Whitney.

He married thirdly, 1 Dec 1900, Canaan, NH, Isabelle (Moulton) Smith, daughter of John and Augusta (Bean) Moulton.[5] She was born about 1863, Meredith, NH. They were both divorced. Henry was listed as "married" in the 1910 census, but Isabelle was not living with him. She had married firstly, 7 Oct 1879, Gilford, NH, Frank E. Smith.
