Charles Edward⁹ Whitney (Samuel⁸, Joseph⁷, Daniel⁶, Daniel⁵, Richard⁴, Richard³, Richard², John¹), son of Samuel⁸ and Mary Jane (Carpenter) Whitney, was born 29 Apr 1850, Surry, NH, and died after 1900.

He married, 22 Dec 1875, South Hadley, MA, Jennie May Bliss, of Otis, MA, dau. of Henry J. and Mary A. (Tillotson) Bliss.^[1] She was born 22 Dec 1849, Lennox, MA, and died after 1900.

He resided Westport, NH.
