James Bartlett9 Whitney (Thomas Bartlett8, Bartlett7, Eleazer6, Nathan5, Thomas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Thomas Bartlett8, was born 5 Aug 1870, Halifax, VT,[1] and died 19 Jul 1917, Springfield, MA.
He "of Amherst" married firstly, 11 Aug 1895, Hubbardston [also recorded Amherst], MA, Cora Alma Boynes, of Hubbardston, daughter of Levi D. and Hattie E. (Frost) Boynes.[2] She was born Apr 1873, Worcester or Hubbardston, MA.
He married secondly, between 1904 and 1906, Cora Alma Wilder, parentage unknown. She was born about 1871, Worcester or Oxford, MA. She may be identical to his first wife, but if so, the Wilder surname in her children's birth and marriage records is unexplained.
