Eleazer6 Whitney (Nathan5, Thomas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Nathan5 and Abigail (Marstass) Whitney, was born circa 1758, and died 10 Jun 1840, Whitneyville, VT.

He married, 3 Aug 1784, Halifax, VT, Martha Crozer,[1] daughter of John and Thanks (-----) Crozer. She was born about 1770 [sic] or 1767, or 7 Mar 1768, Halifax, VT, and died 29 Nov 1865, Halifax, VT.

"Eleazer Whitney ... was born 1756-1760. He served seven years in the revolutionary war, probably in a Massachusetts regiment. He died 1840, about eighty-five years of age. His children: Molly, Asa, Sally, Alpheus, see forward; Thankful, Philip, Peggy, Eleazer Jr., Abigail, Bartlett, born June 13, 1814, probably named for his mother; Jonathan, Betsey, Pattie, Jotham."[2]

v. Thankful Whitney, b. say 1793, Halifax, VT; m. 2 Nov 1819, VT, or 26 Mar 1820, Halifax, VT, Michael Crosier.[9]
vi. Philip Whitney, b. 12 Oct 1795, Halifax, VT; m. Sarah Cook.
vii. Margarette Whitney, b. 18 Feb 1796, Halifax, VT; also called "Peggy"; d. 11 Aug 1864, Halifax, VT; unmarried.
viii. Jotham Whitney, b. ca. 1801, Halifax, VT; m.(1) Chloe Jones; m.(2) Angeline Jones.
ix. Eleazer Whitney, b. ca. 1802, Halifax, VT; m. Fanny N. Hook.
x. Abigail Whitney, b. 1 Apr 1803, Halifax, VT; d. 4 Nov 1901; unmarried.
xi. Bartlett Whitney, b. 12 Jun 1804, Halifax, VT; d. 3 May 1893.

Notes

Some sources include a son Vespasian Ward Whitney, or just Ward Whitney, but he was not a child. Instead, he was a son of Abel6 Whitney (1752-1807), as proved by the probate records of Abel's son Timothy, in 1873. Others include a son Charles, b. ca. 1811, who does not belong in this family.
