John7 Whitney (Mellen6, Elias5, Elias4, Jonathan3, Benjamin2, John1), born circa 1806, Vermont, probably in Barre or Barton where his parents were said to have resided.
He married, about 1834, Mary (-----). She was born circa 1816, NY.
John Whitney was a blacksmith.
