- Early 1996 - The mailing list started as a group of individuals mailing each other and trying to each keep the list in sync
- 15 Apr 1996 - First saved message
- 12 Oct 1996 - The list was migrated to the "MAISER" system at Indiana.edu
- 9 May 1997 - The last day the "MAISER" system ran. It was then hit by spammers and forced to shut down.
- 11 May 1997 - Manual process started
- 8 Jun 1997 - Last day of manual process
- 11 Jun 1997 - Mailing list migrated to RootsWeb, including emails from the MAISER system.
