Peter Lambert⁸ Whitney (William⁷, Peter⁶, Aaron⁵, Moses⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of William⁷ and Zilpah (Eager) Whitney, was born 23 Nov 1818, Northborough, MA,^[1] and died 29 Dec 1904, Boston, MA, aged 86 years 1 month 6 days, of exhaustion of senile insanity.^[2]

He married 27 Nov 1845, South Boston, MA, Mary H. Smith.^[3] She was born 12 Feb 1826, and died after 1880.

He was at one time an engineer in the Charlestown navy yard; resided South Boston, MA, 330 W. 3rd. St.

ii.	Abby Foster Whitney, b. 19 Jan 1850, Boston, MA; d. 24 Aug 1850, Boston, MA, aged 7 months 5 days, of whooping cough.[5]
