Peter Lambert8 Whitney (William7, Peter6, Aaron5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of William7 and Zilpah (Eager) Whitney, was born 23 Nov 1818, Northborough, MA,[1] and died 29 Dec 1904, Boston, MA, aged 86 years 1 month 6 days, of exhaustion of senile insanity.[2]
He married 27 Nov 1845, South Boston, MA, Mary H. Smith.[3] She was born 12 Feb 1826, and died after 1880.
He was at one time an engineer in the Charlestown navy yard; resided South Boston, MA, 330 W. 3rd. St.

i. Mary Adams9 Whitney, b. 26 Apr 1847, Boston, MA; m. 5 or 4 Dec 1868, Boston, MA, Albert Hiram White, b. ca. 1845, Boston, MA, son of Amos T. and Mary A. (-----) White.[4] - Ch.: Leah Mabel, b. 1 Feb 1869; Albert Foster, b. 6 Apr 1871; resided 135 K St., South Boston.
ii. Abby Foster Whitney, b. 19 Jan 1850, Boston, MA; d. 24 Aug 1850, Boston, MA, aged 7 months 5 days, of whooping cough.[5]
