Lemuel Philip8 Whitney (Philip7, Eleazer6, Nathan5, Thomas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of 20 Mar 1820, Halifax, VT, and died 21 Jun 1884, Guilford, VT.
He married, 31 Aug 1845, Halifax, VT, Clarissa S. Carpenter, daughter of Ebenezer and Sallie (Bartlett) Carpenter. She was born about 23 Dec 1826, Dover, VT, and died 1 Feb 1904, Agawam, MA, aged 77 years 1 month 9 days, of bone cancer.[1] She was buried in Guilford, VT.
