Jacob6 Whitney (Abner5, Jonas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Abner5 and Esther (Jackson) Whitney, was born 2 May 1784, Springfield, VT, and died 30 Apr 1824, New Salem, MA.

He married, 11 Nov 1810, Lucy Adams. She was born 19 Sep 1792, and died May 1873. Marriage intentions were published 17 Oct 1827, Montague, MA, for her "Mrs." "of New Salem" and Noah Goss "of Montague".[1]

He was a farmer. He resided New Salem, MA.
