Rufus7 Whitney (John6, Ephraim5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), born 28 Aug 1793, Dover, VT, died 9 May 1863.
He married 25 Dec 1826, Brandon, NY, Lois Miller, born 19 Mar 1790; died 9 Mar 1865.
He was a farmer. He resided Bangor and Brandon, New York.
Children of Rufus7 and Lois (Miller) Whitney:
i. Hortentia8 Whitney, born 9 Sep 1827; married 19 Apr 1861, Samuel Wright; resided East Dickinson, New York. He was born 28 Feb 1822, is a farmer. - Ch., Mary Lois, born 20 Dec 1864; married Nat 1883, George Doolittle, and died 10 Jan 1889; Ema Louise, born 13 Dec 1866; married July 2, 1885, Wells S. Bentley; resided West Bangor, New York.
ii. Mary Frances Whitney, born 28 Mar 1830; married 1 Jan 1852, James Spooner; resided W. Bangor, New York. - Ch., Fred Whitney, born 11 Mar 1855; died 7 Dec 1872; George Miller, born 13 Dec 1859; died 24 May 1873; Betsey Frances, born 8 Jan 1865; married 2 May 1894, Charles S. Barnum; resided Danbury, Connecticut; Rufus born Jan 18, 1869; died Jan. 19, 1873; Spooner was born 9 Sep 1819; died 28 Jul 1892; was a farmer.
