Merrick8 Whitney (Artemas H.7, John Smith6, Thomas5, Thomas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Artemas H.7 and Nabby (Skinner) Whitney, was born 8 May 1832, Springfield, MA, and died 14 Mar 1888, Hartford, CT.
He married firstly, 25 Dec 1856, Palmer, MA, Hannah Tourtellott. She died 6 Dec 1857.
He married secondly, Apr 1859, Maria Peters.
He was a merchant. He resided Hartford, CT.
Children of Merrick8 and Maria (Peters) Whitney:
i. Mabel E.9 Whitney, b. 5 May 1869, Palmer, MA; d. young.
