My Whitney Line

Edit My Whitney Line

My name is Sara Greenleaf, and I live in the Finger Lakes region of New York state and am a technical services librarian at a small liberal arts college.

My mother's mother (not in my Whitney line) was always working on her family history, and I think it was from her that I developed my interest and love for genealogy and family history research. I've been working seriously on genealogy, researching and documenting my various lineages for about five years now. My current work centers on documenting my Greenleaf line and researching my McCormick ancestors. It is through my work with the Greenleaf line that I discovered my connection to the Whitney family.

I'm extremely interested in experimenting with various genealogical technologies including (but not limited to) cloud services and online image repositories. I'm also constantly looking to solidify my research techniques and learn various genealogical best practices and standards for documenting research.
