Isaiah7 Whitney (Cyrus6, Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), born Harvard, 22 Sep 1815; married 1 Jan 1841, Mary A. Gove; born 9 Jul 1822; died July 14, 1889. Isaiah was reared on the old homestead in Harvard. Before his marriage he went to Albany, New York, as clerk for his older brother, James Fordyce. While there, he met his wife. After a residence of several years in Albany he returned to Harvard and to farming on the old homestead, where he passed the remainder of his life. He died 30 Jun 1867; resided Harvard, Massachusetts and Redbank, New Jersey.

iv. Charles G Whitney, born 24 Jun 1854; married Jessie C. Keating.
v. Lucy Emily Whitney, born 20 Nov 1841; married 26 Nov 1863, Charles A. Hussey. She died 5 Dec 1874. Ch: Alfred R., born 26 Aug 1864; ad. 211 Randolph Street, Chicago, Illinois, Mary Ella, born 30 Mar 1870; died 1873; Richard Earle, born Oct. 1874; died 1875.
