Jacob6 Whitney (Abner5, Jonas4, Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1), son of Abner5 and Esther (Jackson) Whitney, was born 2 May 1784, Springfield, VT, and died 30 Apr 1824, New Salem, MA, aged 40 years.[1]

He "of Orange" married, 11 Nov 1810, New Salem, MA, Lucy Adams.[2] She was born 19 Sep 1792, and died May 1873. Marriage intentions were published 17 Oct 1827, Montague, MA, for her "Mrs." "of New Salem" and Noah Goss "of Montague".[3] She married secondly, 11 Nov 1827, New Salem, MA, Noah Goss "of Montague".[4]

He was a farmer. He resided New Salem, MA.

He was a grantor in 1815-1844,[5] and a grantor in .[6]
