Aaron6 Whitney (Aaron5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), born Petersham, 5 Sep 1746; married 1772. Hannah Stearnes, born 14 Nov 1748; died 1 Feb 1784; married 2d Sept. 1784, Hannah Willard; born 14 Oct 1754; died 28 Sep 1812.
He was the fourth son of Rev. Aaron Whitney, of Petersham. His first wife was dau. of Rev. David Stearnes, of Lunenburg. After his death his widow married Mar. 16, 1794, Asahel Pomeroy, of Northampton, by whom she had one child, Hannah, born 31 Jan 1795, who married Robert Edwards. Aaron was a merchant in Northfield, Massachusetts. He died Apr., 1790; resided Norhtfield, Massachusetts.

Dartmouth College, 1793, a lawyer and for many years clerk of the court. He married his cousin, Hannah. Stearnes Whitney, who died 25 Aug 1818; married 2d his cousin, Sept. 5, 1819, Naomi Sparhawk.
