Lorenzo⁸ Whitney (Salmon⁷, Moses⁶, Ephraim⁵, Moses⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Salmon⁷ and Abigail (Bray) Whitney, was born about Jul 1808, ME, and died 2 Jun 1906, aged 97 years 11 months, Phillips, ME. He is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Phillips, ME.

He married Elizabeth Sprague. She was born 1810, ME, and died 10 Jan 1883, Phillips, ME. She is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Phillips, ME.

He lived in Madrid and Phillips, ME. Came to Letter E Plantation in 1810 with his parents. They had five children.

iii.	Roscoe G. W. Whitney, b. ca. 1838, ME; d. 1926, Madrid, ME; m.(1) 4 Apr 1861, Phillips, ME, Emily H. Heath; m.(2) 30 Aug 1890, Phillips, ME, Lefa S. (Bryant) Nickerson.
iv.	Elmon Whitney, b. ca. 1840, ME.
v.	Abigail F. Whitney, b. 1844, ME; d. 23 May 1900, Phillips, ME; m. 27 Dec 1866, Phillips, ME, Frank A. Kimball. She is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Phillips, ME.
