Family:Whitney, William Foster (1820-1888)

William Foster⁸ Whitney (William⁷, Peter⁶, Aaron⁵, Moses⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of William⁷ and Zilpah (Eager) Whitney, was born 17 Aug 1820, Northborough, MA,^[1] and died 20 Oct 1888, Quincy, MA, aged 68 years 2 months, of pneumonia.^[2]

He married, 3 Feb 1846, Quincy, MA, Abigail Briesler, daughter of John and Sarah (Copeland) Briesler.^[3] She was baptized 19 Dec 1824, Quincy, MA, and died after 1880.

They lived in Brooklyn, NY, where he died and his family still reside.^[4]
