Daniel⁸ Whitney (Manning⁷, Daniel⁶, Daniel⁵, Richard⁴, Richard³, Richard², John¹), son of Manning⁷ and Dolly (Brooks) Whitney, was born about 1822, NH, and died 15 Sep 1898, aged 76 years.

He married, before 1850, Alzina Jesseman, probably daughter of John and Lydia (Quimby) Jesseman. She was born about 1836, NH, and died 10 Mar 1890, Franconia, NH, aged 63 years.

He resided Franconia, NH.

Their gravestone in the Willow Cemetery, Franconia, NH, reads:

Daniel Whitney | Died Sept. 15, 1898. | AE 76 y'rs. |
