Amos7 Whitney (Hezekiah6, Elias5, Lemuel4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Hezekiah6 and Sarah (Piper) Whitney; born Stow, Massachusetts, married at Sterling, Patty Wilder; born 21 Jun 1784; died 5 Oct 1837. He was a farmer; resided Stow, Massachusetts.

Children of Amos7 and Patty (Wilder) Whitney:

i. Joseph W.8 Whitney, born 25 Feb 1815; married and died s. p. 16 Jul 1892, in Waltham, Massachusetts.
ii. Luceba C. Whitney, born 6 Sep 1816; married Silas Newton. She died Nov. 30, 1865. He was a blacksmith and died 19 Feb 1856.
Ch.: Joseph Newton, Marlborough, Massachusetts; John Newton, born 1 Sep 1856; married Albert Taylor, 22 Mar 1877; resided Hudson, Massachusetts.
iii. James W. Whitney, born 13 Mar 1818; married Sultina V. Bartlett.
iv. Jonathan W. Whitney, born 22 Nov 1821; married at Hubbardston, Massachusetts, Rebecca Gay, born 19 May 1819; died 28 Nov 1893, s. p. He is a painter; resided Lincoln Square, Worcester, Massachusetts.
v. Mary E. Whitney, born 16 Jan 1825; married Clark Watron.
vi. Martha M. Whitney, born 16 May 1823; married 20 Sep 1844, William A. Shumway, 63 Orange St., Worcester. He was born 9 Sep 1813; died Sept. 9, 1867; was a teamster from Boston to Worcester before railroads; also a farmer.

Ware; resided 63 Orange St., Worcester, Massachusetts.
