Jotham⁷ Whitney (Lemuel⁶, Lemuel⁵, Lemuel⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Lemuel⁶ and Dorcas (Gates) Whitney, was born 22 Aug 1797, Grafton, VT,^[1] was baptized 1 Apr 1798, Stow, MA,^[2] and died 17 Jun 1872, Monkton, VT, aged 75 years, or liver consumption. He was buried in St. George Village Cemetery, St. George, VT.^[3]

He married firstly, date unknown, Catherine -----. She was born about 1804, and died 15 Feb 1837, St. George, VT. She was buried in St. George Village Cemetery, St. George, VT.^[4]

He married secondly, Sep 1836, St. George, VT, Sally Smith. She was born about 1807, and died 30 Mar 1850, Hinesburg, VT.^[5]

He "of Hinesburg, VT" married thirdly, 22 Jun 1858, Hinesburg, VT, Mary (Pendleton) Page, daughter of Joseph Pendleton.^[6] She was born 1811, Middlebury, VT.
