Timothy7 Whitney (Simon6, Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Simon6 and Lucy (Hammond) Whitney, was born 2 Apr 1789, Petersham, MA,[1] and died 20 Jun 1871.

He married firstly, 18 Oct 1817, Petersham, MA, Lucy Bryant.[2] She was born 1 Jul 1799, and died 23 Sep 1843.

Marriage intentions were published 5 Jan 1848, Petersham, MA, for him and "Mrs." Mary Hastings "of Barre".[3] He married secondly, 25 Jan 1848, Barre, MA, Mary (Babbitt) Hastings,[4] daughter of Dean and Lurana (Babcock) Babbitt. She was born 17 Apr 1803, Barre, MA, and died 10 May 1883, Petersham, MA, aged 80 years 23 days, of apoplexy.[5] She had married firstly, 27 May 1822, Hardwick, MA, or 6 Oct 1822, Barre, MA, Walter Hastings.

He resided Essex, VT, and Petersham, MA.
