George Fenn8 Whitney (George7, Silas6, Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of George7 and Pamela Fellowes (Fenn) Whitney, was born 29 Feb 1820, Stockbridge, MA, and died 14 Oct 1893, Stockbridge, MA.
He married, 23 Apr 1845, Stockbridge, MA, Mary E. Lynch, dauughter of Deacon Reuben Lynch. She was born 22 Sep 1825, and died after 1880.
He was born on the old place in Stockbridge. At the early age of six his father died and he resided with his uncle William until his marriage in 1845. He has been a very quiet home body, temperate, industrious and highly esteemed. His death was quite sudden. He was a member of the Congregational church for thirty-five years. He resided Stockbridge, MA.

iii. Sarah Hosford Whitney, b. 4 Mar 1854; m. 23 Apr 1879, Byron Stedman; resided Hudson, NY. He was b. 13 Nov 1851, Lee, MA; is a druggist. - Ch.: Grace, b. 5 Apr 1881; Mabel, b. 7 Mar 1884; Edith, b. 23 Apr 1886; Louise, b. 30 Mar 1890.
iv. Pamela Fenn Whitney, b. 1 May 1861, resided Stockbridge in 1880. v. George Herbert Whitney, b. 19 Aug 1863; m. Martha McGiffert. vi. Charles William Whitney, b. 6 Nov 1865; m. Minnie E. Hayes.
