Celestia A. "Lettie"9 Whitney (Moses Bray8, Salmon7, Moses6, Ephraim5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), daughter of Moses Bray8 and Susan K. (Brown) Whitney, was born 8 Jan 1849, Lincolnville, ME, and died 21 Jan 1913, Rockland, ME.

She married 7 Oct 1866, Rockland, ME, James Edward Rhodes, son of Orris and Lucy A. (Woodbury) Rhodes. He was born 24 Oct 1846, Rockland, ME, and died 9 Sep 1921, Rockland, ME.

James Rhodes was a wool dealer. He served in the Civil War in Battery F, 1st Battalion, 6th Maine Light Artillery. For his service he received a pension from the U.S. Government. He and Lettie are both buried in the Achorn Cemetery, Rockland, ME.
