Jabez6 Whitney (Jacob5, Jonas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Jacob5 and Rachel (Whiting) Whitney, was born 30 Nov 1767, Roxbury, MA, baptized 20 Dec 1767, Roxbury, MA, and died 20 Apr 1849, either Phillipston or Orange, MA, aged 81 years.

Jabez married firstly, sometime before 1790, Elizabeth -----. She was born about 1762, died 5 Nov 1808, Orange, MA, aged 46 years, and was buried in the Jones Cemetery, Orange, MA.

Jabez married secondly, sometime before 1810, Sarah -----. She was born about 1783, died 27 Oct 1847, Orange, MA, aged 64 years, of dysentery.

v. Polly Whitney, b. 4 Apr 1798, Orange, MA.
vi. Eliza Whitney, b. 16 May 1799, Orange, MA.
vii. Lewis Whitney, b. 3 Jan 1802, Orange, MA.
viii. Jacob Whitney, b. 4 Nov 1804, Orange, MA. He was probably the same person as Jacob Whitney (1804-a1860).
