Merrick⁸ Whitney (Artemas H.⁷, John Smith⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), born Springfield, Massachusetts, 8 May 1832; married at Palmer, 25 Dec 1856, Hannah Tourtellott; died 6 Dec 1857; married 2d, Apr., 1859, Maria Peters. He was a merchant. He died 14 Mar 1888; resided Hartford, Connecticut.
