King Phillip's War, 1675-1676
See a series of articles by George M. Bodge in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, entitled "Soldiers in King Phillip's War": vol 37, vol 39, vol 41, vol 42, vol 43. John, Jonathan, Moses, Samuel, and Thomas Whitney are listed there.
[In a copy of a handwritten genealogy created by my Grandfather, George Amos Whitney, son of George Eli Whitney, there is a notation about Jonathan Whitney, born October 20, 1658, married Sarah Hapgood (born 1667) and who died in March 1735 in Sherborn? MA. The notation states that Jonathan Whitney served in King Phillips War 1676.--Todd Whitney Sullivan]
