Abraham WHITNEY was a native of Stow, Mass., and resided there until 1805, when he moved to Waterford, Me. At one time he was high sheriff of Mid- dlesex County. On settling in Maine he erected a grist mill in 1810, and that year was elected one of the selectmen of W. He was in the Revolutionary army, prob- ably in the company from Bolton, Apr. 10, 1818; he was granted a pension from Kennebec Co., Me., when 76 years of age. He d. Waterford, Me., 1814; res.
