VI. Mary Jane Whitney, b. in Wolcott, Vt., 8 July 1839; married, 8 March 1859, Thaddeus Oriando Graves; married (2nd), 25 Jan. 1865, at Morrisville, Vt., Henry Danvers Gilman. She was divorced from him, at the December term of the Lamoille County Court, in 1871; had her maiden name restored; and was living at Wolcott, without children, in 1874.

II. Horace Clement Whitney, b. at Hyde Park, Vt., 8 Ap. 1806; a farmer; married Persis Reynolds, of Hollis, N.H., who committed suicide, by poison, at the house of her brother, in Hollis. He married (2nd), Louisa Story, of St. Alban's, Vt.; and settled in Sheldon, Vt., where she left him. He married (3rd), 22 March 1850, at Franklin, Vt., Philura Austin, born at Westford, Vt., dau. of Timothy and Abigail (Crandall) Austin, of Highgate, Vt. They lived at Farnam, Canada East, in 1851, and at Neenah, Wisconsin, in 1874.

IV. George Huyler Whitney, b. in Essex, Vt., 18 Aug. 1809; a farmer; married, 20 Jan. 1841, at St. Alban's, Vt., by Rev. Orris Pier, Methodist Episcopal, to Ursula Hawkins, whose parents lived at "Plattsburg, Vt." She was born at St. Alban's, Vt., dau of John and Mercy (Drown) Hawkins. They dwelt at St. Alban's till they had two children; lived, for a few months, in Swanton, Vt.; settled in Fairfield, Vt., in 1844; moved, about 1855, to Middlebury, Vt., and thence, in 1864, to Jamestown, Mich., where he died, 16 March 1867, and was buried in the Jamestown Cemetery. She was still living at Jamestown, in Aug. 1874. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Eliza Whitney, b. 23 Ap. 1811; married, 1 Jan. 1830, at her mother's house, in Fairfield, Vt., by Joab Smith, Esq., to Reuben Dighton Bowers, a farmer, who was born in Swanton, Vt., son of Benjamin and Sarah (Rice) Bowers, of Swanton. They settled at Swanton Centre, Vt., where she died, 27 Ap. 1839. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He married a second wife, and was living at Virginia, Ill., in 1874.
