Adams8 Whitney (William7, Peter6, Aaron5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of William7 and Zilpah (Eager) Whitney, was born 4 Jan 1826, Northborough, MA.[1]

He married, 15 May 1861, Quincy, MA, Susanna Channel Burrell, daughter of Seth and Susanna (-----) Burrell.[2] She was born 30 Dec 1825, Quincy, MA, and died 29 May 1903, Quincy, MA, aged 77 years 4 months 29 days, of pneumonia.[3]

They resided 11 Gay St., Quincy, MA.

i. Maria Adams9 Whitney, b. 22 Mar 1862, Quincy, MA;[4] resided unmarried at home.
ii. Abby Warren Whitney, b. 1 Apr 1864, Quincy, MA;[5] d. 2 Apr 1864, Quincy, MA, aged 1 day, of heart disease.[6]
iii. William Harrison Whitney, b. 20 Mar 1865, Quincy, MA;[7] resided at home. He is corporal in the Braintree militia company.
iv. Sophia Vinal Whitney, b. 14 Feb 1870, Quincy, MA;[8]; m. 12 Oct 1898, Quincy, MA, Lewis Nichols Curtis, b. ca. 1862, Scituate, MA, son of Harvey and Betsey M. (Litchfield) Lewis.[9]
