Family:Whitney, Adin (1820-1891)

Adin⁸ Whitney (Artemas H.⁷, John Smith⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of Artemas H.⁷ and Nabby (Skinner) Whitney, was born 24 Aug 1820, Dana, MA, and died 16 Aug 1891, Ludlow, MA, aged 71 years, of blood poison from disease of bladder.^[1]

He married firstly, 25 Apr 1843, Palmer, MA, Juliette Moore[s], daughter of George and Ruth (Olds) Moore[s]. She was born about 9 May 1822, Ludlow, MA, and died 18 Jul 1869, Ludlow, MA, aged 47 years 2 months 9 days, of insanity and suicide.^[2]

He married secondly, 25 Dec 1870, Ludlow, MA, Mrs. Abbie (Bidwell) Daniels, daughter of David and Maria (Talcott) Bidwell.^[3] She was born about 14 Apr 1818, Manchester, CT, and died 27 Dec 1892, Ludlow, MA, aged 74 years 8 months 13 days, of cancer and pneumonia.^[4] She had married firstly, 15 Sep 1842, Manchester, CT, Dwight Daniels.

He was a farmer. He resided Ludlow, MA.

ii.	Estella Inez Whitney, b. 25 Mar 1855; m. 3 Aug 1873, Ludlow, MA, Frank D. Bramble, b. 17 Feb 1855, Monson, MA, son of Franklin and Julia (-----) Bramble;[5] resided Monson, MA. He was a lumber dealer. Children: a. Lena Juliaette Bramble, b. 4 Oct 1876. b. Arthur Dwight Bramble, b. 5 Aug 1879. c. Ida Estella Bramble, b. 1 Nov 1884. d. Vina Mabel Bramble, b. 16 Feb 1890.
