Amos7 Whitney (Ephraim6, Amos5, Amos4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Ephraim6 and Keziah (Moffatt) Whitney, was born about 1814, ME, and died before 1880.

He married firstly, about 1834, Matilda Wright. She was born about 1810, MD, and died beofer 1864.

He married secondly, 22 May 1864, Daviess Co., IN, Nancy W. (-----) Lee. She was born about 1825 KY. She had children William A., Margaret A., and Christopher C. Lee by her first husband, of whom nothing is known.

iv. Benjamin Whitney, b. Oct 1840 or ca. 1843, OH; d. aft. 1900, then unmarried.
v. James Whitney, b. Mar 1843 or ca. 1845, OH; d. aft. 1900; m. ca. 1889, Elizabeth -----, b. May 1846, IN.
vi. Elizabeth Whitney, b. ca. 1847, OH; d. after 1860.
vii. Mary Ellen Whitney, b. 14 Feb 1848 or ca. 1849, OH; d. 13 Feb 1920; m. 7 Feb 1867, Sullivan Co., MO, Joseph Hamilton Cawood (as his second wife).
viii. Martha Leah Whitney, b. ca. 1852, OH; d. 12 May 1928, Oklahoma City, Canadian Co., OK; m. 8 Dec 1867, Lindley, Sullivan Co., MO, Marion Columbus Stanberry.
