Family:Whitney, Benjamin Morse (1806-1890)
Benjamin Morse6 Whitney (Micah5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Micah5 and Hannah (Cobb) Whitney,[1] was born 19 Mar 1806, Phillips, ME,[2] and died 1 May 1890, Gardiner, ME, aged 84 years.[3] (Note: Micah Whitney brought his family from Gray to Phillips, ME in 1811. G. B. Sedgeley claims to have found a record that Benjamin was born in Gray. He was definitely not born in Phillips.)
He married, 26 Sep 1830, Phillips, ME, Susan Wells, the dau. of Nathaniel and Susan (Harris) Wells of Ipswich, MA and Mt. Vernon, ME. She was born 1806, and died 1892, Gray, ME, aged 86 years.
Benjamin and Susan are buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Phillips, ME.
He resided Madrid and Gardiner, ME.

Oct 1868; never married. Buried Oak Grove Cemetery, Gardiner, ME. b. Enola Annis Andrews, b. abt. 1870, Phillips, ME; m. George Hamilton Bibber. Resided Gloucester, MA & Gardiner, ME. They are buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Gardiner, ME.

Toothaker; m.(3) Catherine (Pooler) Towle; prob. cohabited with (4) Elizabeth B. (Peare) Rowe iv. Melvina Susan Whitney, b. 28 May 1836, Rangeley, ME, or Phillips, ME;[8] m. J. Richmond Adams. v. Joseph Clement Whitney, b. 26 Feb 1838 (twin), Rangeley, ME, or Phillips, ME;[9] m. Zubietta Keen. vi. Mary Clementine Whitney, b. 26 Feb 1838 (twin), Rangeley, ME, or Phillips, ME;[10] d. 1916; m. 28 Feb 1858, Phillips, ME, George H. Cushman,[11] d. 1903; resided Phillips, ME. They are both buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Phillips, ME. Children: a. Aura Cushman, b. ca. 1862.
