Jacob6 Whitney (Richard5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Richard5 and Mary (Perry) Whitney, was born 24 Mar 1748/9, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 11 Jul 1825, Winchendon, MA, aged 76 years.[2]

He married firstly, 25 May 1772, Harvard, MA, Lois Hapgood,[3] daughter of Shadrach and Elisabeth (Keep) Hapgood. She was born 13 Apr 1754, Harvard, MA, and died 24 May 1793, Harvard, MA, aged 39 years, of consumption.[4]

He married secondly, 29 Jun 1794, Littleton, MA, Mary Patch of Littleton,[5] daughter of Jonathan and Hannah (?Witt?) Patch. She was born 2 Jun 1751, Littleton, MA, and died 27 Dec 1833.

He was in the company of Capt. Jonathan Davis in Colonel Asa Whitcomb's regiment 6 Oct 1775, in the Revolutionary army. Part of the companies in this regiment were ordered to reinforce Colonel Prescott in the battle of Bunker Hill, June 17. He made his will 8 Nov 1815. It was probated 18 Oct 1825. Son Elias was executor. He resided Harvard and Winchendon, MA.
