He married 26 Nov 1868, Canaan, NH, Ellen M. Butman,[3] daughter of Franklin and Susan Taylor (Colby) Butman. She was born 25 Nov 1848, Canaan, NH, and died 24 Mar 1914, Enfield, NH.[4][5] She married secondly, about 1882, Henry O.8 Whitney, q.v.
