Jeremiah⁶ Whitney (Jeremiah⁵, Jeremiah⁴, Nathan³, John², Henry¹), son of Jeremiah⁵ and Sarah (Lee) Whitney, was born 17 Jun 1787, Fishkill, NY, and died 4 Aug 1867, Chatham, PA.

He married, 7 Aug 1812, Fishkill, NY, Susan Resseguie, daughter of William and Susan (Partrick) Resseguie. She was born 18 Apr 1796, CT, and died after Nov 1876.

Phoenix says the following:

"Jeremiah Whitney, b. at Fishkill, N. Y., 17 June 1787; a shoe-maker; married, 7 Aug. 1812, at Fishkill, Susan Resseguie, dau. of William and Susan (Partrick) Resseguie, of Conn., where she was born, 18 Ap. 1796. They dwelt in Fishkill, Milo, Beekman, Reading, and Tyrone, all in N. Y., and in Bingham, Penn.; and, about 1838, settled at Chatham, Penn., where he died 4 Aug. 1867. She was living at Niles Valley, Penn., in Nov. 1876."
