He married firstly, 25 Dec 1866, Salt Lake City, UT, Typhenia Roseltha Perry, daughter of Stephen Chadwick and Anna Maria (Hulet) Perry. She was born 19 Jun 1847, Pisgah, IA, and died 18 Dec 1924, Springville, UT.

He married secondly, about 1907, Keziah (Herbert)(Gabbitas) Harrison, daughter of Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Miles) Herbert. She was born 7 Feb 1855, Foleshill, Warwickshire, England, and died 8 Jan 1942, Springville, UT. She had married firstly, 31 Jul 1871, Salt Lake City, UT, George William Gabbitas (1843–1892). She had married secondly, 22 Jun 1893, Springville, UT, Jeremiah Harrison (1837–1905).

He served in the Civil War, 1st Lieutenant, Co. F-S, 1st Nevada Volunteers.
