Mary5 Whitney (Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), daughter of Moses4 and Lydia (Taylor) Whitney, was born 30 Jul 1729, Littleton, MA,[1] and died 15 Sep 1793, Canaan, ME.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 10 Nov 1752, Lunenburg, MA, for her and John White "both of Lunenburg.[3] She married, 22 Feb 1753, Lunenburg, MA, John White, both "of Lunenburg",[4] "of Lancaster", son of Josiah and Abigail (Whitcomb) White. He was born 10 May 1729, Lancaster, MA, and died 20 Jan 1815, Canaan, ME.

Phoenix says the following:[5]

MARY [WHITNEY], b. Lancaster; m. Feb. 22, 1753, John WHITE, of Lancaster, the son of Josiah and Abigail (WHITCOMB) WHITE, b. Lancaster, May 10, 1729; d. Canaan, Me. in 1820; res. Leominster and Fitchburg, Mass. Ch.: Betsey, Lydia, m. Edward HARTWELL and moved to Me. in 1780, and John.

Children of John and Mary5 (Whitney) White:

i. Lydia White, b. 5 Mar 1755, Lunenburg, MA; d. 21 Apr 1837; m. Edward Hartwell.
ii. Betty White, b. 19 Apr 1757, Lunenburg, MA.
iii. Salmon White, b. 5 Jun 1759, Lancaster, MA; d. young.
iv. Salmon White, b. 3 Apr 1761, Lunenburg, MA; d. 21 Apr 1837.
v. Mary White, b. 17 Sep 1763, Lunenburg, MA.
vi. John White, b. 15 May 1766, Lunenburg, MA.
