Reuben6 Whitney (Richard5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Richard5 and Mary (Perry) Whitney, was born 21 Feb 1758, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 14 Feb 1823, Lancaster, MA, aged 64 years, or Havard, MA, aged 60 years.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 21 Sep 1781, Havard, MA, for him and Lucy Fairbank.[3] He married Lucy Fairbank. She was born 24 Mar 1764, and died 17 Nov 1843, Harvard, MA, aged 80 years, or 16 Nov 1843, Harvard, MA, aged 79 years.[4]

He was born in Harvard and worked on his father's farm. When but eighteen years of age he enlisted in the Revolutionary army in the company of Capt. Sargent of Princeton, and regiment commanded by Colonel Stearns of Lunenburg. This was assigned to a special brigade which was raised to repulse the advance of Sir Henry Clinton in Rhode Island. He was selectman in 1801, 1804 and 1805; resided Harvard, MA.
