Robinson6 Whitney (Amos5, Amos4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Amos5 and Anna (Weston) Whitney, was born circa 1782, Buxton, ME, and died 22 Jul 1867, Newburgh, ME.
Marriage intentions were published 7 Nov 1812, Prospect, ME, for him "Mr. Robeson" "of -----" and "Miss" Elsie Shearburn "of Prospect".[1] He married, about 1812, Elsie/Elcy (Chadbourne) Sherbourne, daughter of Rev. John and Elizabeth (Grant) Chadbourne. She was born 29 Nov 1777, Sanford, ME, and died between 1850 and 1860. She had married firstly, about 1798, probably Cornish, ME, Samuel Sherbourne.
They lived at Newburgh, ME, where he was a farmer.
