Salmon5 Whitney (Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Moses4 and Lydia (Taylor) Whitney, was born as "Solomon" 8 Jan 1711/2, Littleton, MA,[1] and "Capt." died 16 Mar 1759, Littleton, MA, aged 47 years 2 months 8 days.[2]

Salmon married, 4 Jun 1734, Littleton, MA, Sarah -----. She was born circa 1713, possibly Littleton, MA. Marriage intentions were published 30 Oct 1761, Lunenburg, MA, for her "of Littleton" and Benjamin Foster "of Lunenburg".[3] She "of Littleton" married secondly, 3 Dec 1761, Littleton, MA, Dea. Benjamin Foster "of Lunenburg".[4]

On 4 Apr 1759, Littleton, MA, administration granted to Sarah Whitney, widow of Salmond Whitney, late of Littleton, intestate, with Samuel Taylor and Elias Taylor, bondsmen. On 10 Apr 1759, Littleton, MA, his inventory was taken by Joseph Harwood, Samuel Taylor, and Jonathan Longley.

i. Lois6 Whitney, b. circa 1744 (calculated from age in guardianship petition); on 2 Mar 1763, Littleton, MA, Lois Whitney, age 19, and Susannah Whitney, age 14, children of Capt. Salmon Whitney, late of Littleton, now residing in Lunenburg, Worcester Co., chose Samuel Taylor of Littleton, husbandman, as guardian; witness, Daniel Dams; on 2 May 1763, Littleton, MA, Samuel Taylor of Littleton, husbandman, was appointed guardian of Lois Whitney and Susanna Whitney, children of Capt. Salmon Whitney, late of Littleton, deceased, and posted bond, with Joseph Harwood as surety; d. 26 Mar 1834, Walpole, NH; m. (int. 24 Apr 1764, Lunenburg, MA[5]) 3 Oct 1764, Lunenburg, MA, Col. Joseph Bellows, both "of Lunenburg",[6] son of Col. Benjamin and Abigail (Stearns) Bellows.
