Thomas Emmons7 Whitney alias Thomas C.7 Whitney (Ebenezer6, Samuel5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Ebenezer6 and Mehitable (Robinson) Whitney, was born 8 Feb 1810, Bowdoin, ME, or 30 Apr 1810, Litchfield, ME,[1] and died 19 May 1860, Roxbury, MA, aged 51 years, of cancer, married, yeoman, born Richmond, ME, son of Ebenezer and Mehitable Whitney.[2]
At some point he changed his name to Thomas C. Whitney. This latter middle name is alleged by some to have been Clinton, but no confirmation of that has been found.
Intentions of marriage were published 3 Sep 1836, Clinton, ME, for him and Hepsabeth Brown. He "of Clinton Gore" married, 17 Dec 1836, Clinton, ME, Hepsabeth Brown.[3] She was born about 1813, Clinton, ME, and died 20 Aug 1882, aged 71 years, Gardiner, ME.[4]
